I am very pleased to have been nominated for
“The Very Inspiring Blogger Award by And Life Smiles
Thank you so much, I’m obliged and honored to receive this award!
The rules are to thank and link back to the blogger that has nominated you. Post the award logo to your blog. Write a post on the nomination and nominate 15 other very inspiring bloggers. Notify them and then tell 7 things about yourself.
7 Things about myself:
1) Retired in Florida, USA, and have not missed a day of posting
since I have retired in 2007. God’s grace that I have been physically
capable of doing so. Mentally, some blogs are better than others.
2) ME (my initials Michael_e) and the Boss, the Boss being God or
my wife, depends on who is standing beside me at the time.
3) Photography and gardening are my other interest,
ergo: all of the pictures on my daily blog are mine and most are flowers
from my garden, some are from nature, others from the gardens and
homes that we encounter on our outings.
4) Recovering alcoholic who has been clean for 19 years, sobriety
comes and goes with the moods.
Another blog; Asadrunkseesit.wordpress.com, reflects my experiences
with recovering and recovery.
5) Born, raised and attended school in Pennsylvania, USA.
Educated by the grace of God and the rooms of AA.
I have enjoyed learning to live in today and in looking forward
to learning as much as I can every day.
6) I am a spiritual person who is not really into religion except
as a study in human nature. (And History)
7) I try to live my mantra to the fullest, all day, every day:
Be kind, be loving, be patient ant tolerant, be forgiving,
be the person God wants me to be.
Smile, makes people wonder what you are up to.

My nominations for bloggers who inspire me.
Short blog about this award…
Grateful, but, the experience of blogging is about my journey and the fact that anyone else may read my blog and gain some inspiration from my writings is just icing on the cake. I have read it on a hundred blogs and in a hundred books that the reason for writing is either cathartic and or monetary. Since I receive no remuneration for my efforts I must be happy receiving the rewards of just getting the task completed. The God of my understanding grows within me daily as I am inspired to write positive affirmations for myself and that is reward enough.
I also started blogging by writing 300 to 750 words a day using a word that related to change, acceptance or any other aspect of life that I could imagine. One day I ask a friend if he had read my blog for that day since the topic related to a situation that he was going through in his life. His response was, “too long to get my little brain around.” Subsequently I have changed my blog format and for the past two years I have written only 100 words daily, only on topics that relate to my growth and learning. I find it very challenging and more meaningful to complete a message in fewer words.
Today, I am glad to pass the honors along.
Love, hugs and prayers…ME and the Boss
